Attorney Jeffrey M. Poirier is the founder and managing attorney of the Law Office of Jeffrey M. Poirier LLC. Prior to establishing the Firm in 2022, Jeff served as Senior Attorney and Director of the Real Estate Practice for a Newburyport-based law firm where he was responsible for conducting or overseeing all of the Firm’s commercial, residential and municipal real estate matters. Prior to returning to practice on the North Shore, Jeff worked as the Manager of the Boston Resolution Center for JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution services worldwide, and previously as an Associate Attorney at a Boston law firm specializing in a broad spectrum of commercial and real estate transactions.

Jeff received his J.D. (cum laude) from New England Law | Boston. While in law school, he served as as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard G. Stearns, United States District Court Judge for the District of Massachusetts. He is also a graduate of the University of Vermont (B.A., Political Science). Jeff is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Jeff resides in Ipswich, with his wife and two school-aged daughters. Jeff currently serves as a member of the Ipswich School Committee.
